**Position Overview:**

Serving the

greater Stanislaus County with 423 acute care beds, Memorial Medical Center MMC provides a full

continuum of care, including:

+ 24-hour emergency care

+ inpatient and outpatient surgery

+ specialty services in obstetrics, pediatrics, nuclearmedicine, dialysis therapy, diagnostic imaging, intensive care, sleepdisorders and physical therapy

+ a Level II **TraumaCenter**

Memorial

**PositionSummary:**

The RN functions within the full scope of licensure

and will implement the nursing process to include the following: assess patient

and family needs; develop a plan of care based on assessment; direct

implementation of the plan of care for a group of patients in collaboration

with the charge nurse and review and evaluate effectiveness of care plan.

The RN assures that

physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning, rehabilitative, spiritual,

cultural, and self-care needs of patients and families are addressed.

**Qualifications:**

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** :

+ Current Licensure as RN in State of California

+ Current PICC insertion certification

+ Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

+ Two (2) years acute care nursing experience.

+ Successful completion of unit specific orientation and competencies.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** :

+ Bachelor's degree is preferred.

+ IV Certification - IV

+ Cancer Chemotherapy Provider - CCP

**Skills and Knowledge:**

+ In depth knowledge of nursing process in addressing physical, psychosocial, and psychological needs of patients.

+ Demonstrates basic knowledge of unit specific age criteria for patient population.

+ Ability to write, read, hear, and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the job.
