**Position Overview:**

Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation is a not for profit

corporation that exists to provide medical services, research and education.

The foundation provides the infrastructure for the delivery of physician

services, and contracts with a separate corporation comprised of physicians and

other care providers to deliver the clinical services. This multi-specialty

foundation will provide a platform from which new physicians can be recruited

to continue to provide physician services in a nonprofit, community setting.

The Foundation's vision is to create a medical group that will deliver high

quality, market competitive medical services.

Infusion Technician are responsible for the delivery of pharmacy services to the Oncology Care

Center. They are also responsible for Pharmacy systems, pharmacy

procedures, receiving of medication deliveries, distribution, assists with

stock purchase and inventory control.


**Education, Licensures andCertifications:**

+ High School Diploma Required

**Licensureand Certifications**

+ Registered Pharmacy Technician -PHRMTECH-R - Required


+ One year experience as a PharmacyTechnician is desirable - Preferred

+ Experience in IV admixturepreparation, sterile technique, and outpatient dispensing is desirable Preferred

**Skillsand Knowledge:**

+ Understandingof contemporary pharmacy practice including pharmaceutical compounding (drugsand parenteral solutions), medical terminology, generic and trade names ofcommon drugs, and familiarity with pharmacy data system.

+ Knowledgeof medical terminology, generic and trade pharmaceutical names, pharmaceutical calculationsand laws and regulations.

+ Knowledgeand understanding of different practice settings, including narcotic deliveryand procedures.

+ Knowledgeof and the ability to carry out calculations for common dosage determination.

+ Knowledgeand understanding of the identification of medications, medication dosages,routes of administration, dosage forms, and storage requirements.
