The MRI Technologist
coordinates and performs a wide variety of quality diagnostic studies in the
specialty of Magnetic Resonance Imaging and may assist in performance of
procedures. The MRI Technologist must
possess and demonstrate knowledge of the following: MRI physics, MRI safe practices,
anatomy/physiology, safe patient transfer and positioning techniques, and
ethical and professional conduct. The MRI Technologists prepares, administers
and documents activities related to contrast media. The incumbent is responsible for the
operation of a variety of equipment used to image and document the anatomy. The
MRI Technologist ensures accurate documentation, effective communications and
demonstrates knowledge of age-appropriate criteria when working with all
patients, which include high risk and critically ill patients. Responsible for accurate charge capture.

neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatrics.
+ Associate's degree - ARRT approved RadiologicTechnology program required
+ MRI specific training preferred or equivalenteducation/experience
**Licensures andCertifications** :
+ American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - ARRTrequired
+ Certified Radiologic Technologist - CRT required
+ Basic Life Support Certification - BLS required
+ IV certification
+ 3-5 years of Radiology or CT experience
+ One year of MRI experience
**Skills and Knowledge:**
+ Basic knowledge of English language, grammar andcomposition. Bilingual preferred.
+ Ability to identify problems, prioritize, problemsolve.
+ Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
+ Basic keyboarding and computer skills.
+ Ability to train/teach others.
+ Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgmentand the ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision.
+ Manages multiple demands in a rapidly changing andchallenging environment and take appropriate actions in emergentsituations.
