If you want to be a part of a fun team that works across the U.S and flourish at a firm that prides itself on entrepreneurialism and forward thinking, this job is for you!RESPONSIBILITIES:Demonstrate a solid understanding of the public relations industry and its basic principlesUnderstand key client information, including business strategy, industry issues, products and services, key customers and competitorsProvide client service administration, including preparing client status and activity reports, attending meetings and conference calls, compiling media and competitor coverage, coordinating press tour pitching, scheduling and logisticsResearch, outline, write, edit and proofread materials, including press materials, scripts, newsletter articles and awardsAssist with research, including analysis of media coverage and online conversationsBuild a network of media and industry influencer contactsProactively develop and offer fresh story angles to internal account teams and clientsManage projects using organizational skills, working with colleagues, vendors and support agencies and keeping project leaders apprised of statusHelp train interns and junior staffCommunicates effectively with team membersParticipate in the new business process, including research, audits, preparation of proposals and support for new business pitchesBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:The account executive must have at least 1-2 years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields including research, advertising, management consulting, media and publishing, and a bachelor's degree in a related field.ABOUT YOU:You have a strong work ethic and dedication to consistently providing quality work to your team and clientsYou have an intricate level of understanding of the account(s), the clients' businesses, products, markets, personnel, outside influencers, opposition, etc.You have a solid grasp of all basic public relations tools and how they are used to achieve client goals.You have solid research, writing and editing skills and the ability to develop media and influencer contacts/relationships.You have a fundamental understanding of media outreach assignments and apply experience and initiative in developing appropriate traditional and online media strategies.You are a proactive self-starter with excellent organizational and project management skills, and the ability to adapt to change and meet deadlines.You have an affinity for storytelling, and is able to generate creative ideas, take risks and think big.Most importantly, you are positive, have a collaborative attitude and entrepreneurial mindsetPrior agency experience (whether professional or internship) is preferred, although not required.#LI-AJEdelman is a global communications firm that partners with businesses and organizations to evolve, promote and protect their brands and reputations.
