JOB TITLE: Systems Sustainment Engineer EW&APROJECT OVERVIEW: The individual will support the Electronic Warfare and Airborne Communications Program Office (EW&A PO) with sustainment and modernization of a variety of existing communications receivers to meet existing DoD / civil mandates and DoD / national-level priorities (National Command, Control and Communications NC3)This position will be assigned to government offices at Robins AFB, GA. JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for providing communications electronics engineering process analysis and sustaining engineering support services to ensure the effective and efficient sustainment and delivery of multiple airborne communications legacy and modernization programs. Services include some or all of the following:* Conducting sustaining engineering trade studies and technical analyses* Evaluating impacts of obsolescence and diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages (DMSMS)* Evaluating OEM performance* Evaluating sustaining engineering efforts and analysis* System sustainment planning, requirements generation, and task development and execution for multiple airborne communication systems programs* Developing / evaluating technical requirements, program strategies, statements of work and acquisition/sustainment plans* Work with several levels of government and industry personnel on a regular basis, and frequently called on to provide briefings and lead technical meetings/reviewsREQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Security Clearance: Secret* Active Secret Clearance* Bachelors Degree in Engineering * 5 years related experience * Experience as a Systems Integration, sustainment or Electronics/Electrical Engineer* 1 tour/assignment at AF Product/Logistics Center, or similar US Army/US Navy Center, assigned to a System Program Office * Participated in development, coordination, and execution of major program milestones (ACAT III acceptable) * Experience with defense acquisition engineering management processes as contained in the DoD 5000 series directives* Excellent communications skills, both written and verbally* Clear understanding of the OSD and USAF Acquisition organizationDESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:* Post-Bachelors work toward Degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Information Systems* 10 years related experience* Experience with avionics or radio/communications system integration on military platforms; Experience with software defined radio systems* Level II DAWIA Certification in Systems Planning, Research, Development & EngineeringWORK LOCATION: Robins AFB, GA TRAVEL: 5%WBB is a technical and management consulting company that provides innovative products and services that solve government and commercial customers toughest problems.
