Security Representatives at Hertz work in the security exit of our maintenance lot. You will check in and out customers/employees as they leave the Hertz property. This includes: directing traffic, checking vehicles to a handheld computer, dealing with employees in a polite, professional manner, working outside in all weather elements.

+ Assist security guards in appropriately handling emergency situations, as well as, handling routine operations and tasks

+ Make personnel adjustments to cover unexpected absences

+ Monitors Security Team activities to ensure policies and procedures are followed, and provides feedback to Security Manager regarding any recommendations or improvements

+ Enforce and comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures

+ Monitor Security Control Center systems (i.e. CCTV/DVMR, Picture Perfect, Wave Reader, Main Fire Alarm Control panel, FenwalNet, Security related device web-pages, etc.)

+ Ensure that each shift properly conducts and documents their Life Safety Patrol.

+ Physically verify that High Security Access entrances and exits are operational and free of obstacles. Confirm that their respective Security measures are operational. Record status of each area on appropriate report as required by Internal Audit guidelines.

+ Utilize higher authority level and established Security Systems database guidelines, adjust/modify individual Security Access Badge records as required

+ Complete and submit shift check list(s) on separate Lead Officers Daily Shift Report

+ Provide all reasonable assistance to employees in distress, including battery jump-starts, flat tires, etc.

+ Document any complaints from individuals by making appropriate Security Incident Report

+ Routinely compose and distribute instructional and informational materials, and convey how the information relates to Security operations and functions

+ Trainers assist Security Manager in organizing and updating Security Department Policies & Procedures and Security Handbook

+ Responds to requests for information from security personnel regarding company and departmental policies, standards, procedures, and operations

+ Devise training materials and conduct training programs derived from managements curriculum objectives to provide individualized instruction to each security officer on an ongoing basis

+ Document each trainees progress and level of job knowledge and achievement

+ Trainer assists in developing training materials and makes them available to security personnel, such as via the departments intranet web site and e-mail

+ Demonstrate level of job knowledge and ability to perform specified tasks upon request of management

+ Other duties as assigned by management

**Mandatory Requirements**

+ Typing 25 wpm (test required)

+ Good verbal and written communication skills (written exercise given)

+ Must possess, maintain and convey a positive company image, neat appearance and a pleasant personality.

+ Valid drivers license with good driving record

+ Must be able to work overtime on short notice

+ Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

+ Must possess strong leadership skills and be able to work and solve problems with minimal supervision

+ Must be detail oriented and possess good decision making skills

+ Must have excellent pc skills with the ability to learn new applications quickly

+ Last overall performance rating must be or higher

+ Must have worked in current position the required minimum length of time

+ No attendance warnings within last six months. No written warnings within the past year

+ Possess operational knowledge of all Security and Life Safety Systems (i.e. CCTV/DVMR, Picture Perfect, Wave Reader, Main Fire Alarm Control panel, FenwalNet, Security related device web pages, etc.)

+ Must have recent leadership experience in related field
