**Position Overview:**

Assists in preparing for and during surgery by performing routine and delegated duties according to standards and policies of the department and hospital to assure quality patient care.



+ High school diploma or equivalent required.

+ Completion of a formal accredited Operating Room Technician program required.

+ Two years scrubbing experience preferred

+ AHA BLS certification required

+ Certification from NBSTSA preferred

**Skills & Knowledge** **:**

+ Basic knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment and supplies.

+ Requires strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills

+ Requires flexibility to accomodate emergencies as well as changing schedules and priorites.
