**Position Overview:**

Assists in preparing for and during surgery by performing routine and delegated duties according to standards and policies of the department and hospital to assure quality patient care.



+ High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education/experience required.

+ Completion of a formal accredited Operation Room Technician program required.

+ Two (2) years scrubbing experience at CPMC required

+ BLS required upon hire

+ certification from NBSTSA required upon hire.

**Skills & Knowledge:**

+ Basic knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and supplies.

+ Requires strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills.

+ Requires flexibility to accommodate emergencies as well as changing schedules and priorities.
