**PRIMARY PURPOSE:** Under the direction of the Clinical Manager, the Unit Supervisor provides for the delivery of efficient and effective professional nursing care for a designated shift(s) and helps ensure that nursing care provided is consistent with established nursing standards and that care is provided in a safe, appropriate and cost-effective manner. The Unit Supervisor assists the Clinical Manager in the supervision and development of staff. Provides input to planning and monitoring of unit operations, and assists in meeting budgetary goals.
**SUPERVISION: (Reporting Relations)** Nurses, Clinical and administrative staff
**Education:** Licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of California required.
BCLS Certification required.
BSN or equivalency preferred.
**Knowledge:** Demonstrates leadership potential.
**Experience:** Two years experience of pre-operative nursing required. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
