The Spiritual Care Coordinator shall develop a program to meet and exceed JCAHO standards for Spiritual Care by providing, recruiting and training volunteers from the multi-faith community to provide spiritual counseling and support to patients, families, hospital staff and volunteers at Eden Medical Center. The successful candidate will work harmoniously with staff and existing volunteer groups while developing a group of volunteer chaplains to address spiritual needs in our diverse community. The Spiritual Care Coordinator is an integral part of the interdisciplinary team.
**Minimum Education:** Must have either a Masters Degree in Divinity or other Counseling field or Ordained Clergy status.
**Preferred Education:** Master Degree in Divinity or 4 CPE units (Clinical Pastoral Education) or Ordained Clergy status.
**Minimum Experience:** Prior experience as a chaplain. Good standing in your faith tradition as evidenced by ecclesiastical endorsement.
**Preferred Experience:** Membership in a National Professional Chaplain Organization.
**Licensure/Certification:** Board Certified Chaplain - BCC.
