Play an integral role in transforming the way Sutter Health does business and delivers health care by leveraging innovation, disruptive technology and creative design. Placing people first and looking beyond surface-level requirements, integrate research, complex data analysis (social, economic, cultural, political, and emotional drivers) and human touch points to resolve unmet needs in categories like health management, engagement, and care relationships. Facilitate Sutter Health's move toward a holistic model that is simple, engaging, transparent, coordinated, personalized, secure and seamless while providing value-add for all involved parties. Bridge the gap between inspiration and action to develop new businesses, build strategic alliances and position Sutter Health as an industry leader. Indentify, test and implement efficient and effective solutions that improve the patient experience, provide time/cost savings and incorporate human-centered design across Sutter Health's care continuum. Partner with industry experts, technology consultants, futurists and cultural anthropologists to fuel and drive innovation that explores new options, resolves familiar problems with unique solutions, drives market growth, and establishes a competitive advantage for Sutter Health. As a thought leader, push conventional perceptions of health care and delivery methods to deliver a higher standard of customer excellence. Collaborate with system leaders across the enterprise to encourage new ways to inspire our employees who deliver world-class care and to delight our customers, patients and their families.
+ Business Administration (MBA), Entrepreneurship and Design (MSENTD), Healthcare Administration (MHA), Innovation (MI), Social Innovation (MDes) or other related field or Degree required or equivalent education/experience.
+ LEAN or LEAN Six Sigma Master Belt certification or equivalent preferred.
+ Project Management Professional - PMP Certified Change Management Professional certification or related designation preferred.
+ Seasoned business professional with demonstrated technology, strategy, innovation and project management skills that are typically acquired during 6-8 years of experience in progressively responsible positions in developing and bringing to market programs, products and services required.
+ Recognized track record of identifying, developing and leveraging value-add partnerships, positively influencing corporate strategies, and translating research, trends and analytics into effective innovative solutions that achieve both corporate strategic goals and drive net revenue required.
+ Proven experience in human-centered design, program management, relationship management, mergers and acquisitions, strategic and financial planning, business modeling and budgeting to develop integrated innovation strategies and to make informed business decisions required.
+ Demonstrated entrepreneurial and new venture experience as typically acquired during 3-5 years in developing strategic programs and business modeling required.
+ Prior experience in successfully evaluating opportunities, rapidly prototyping designs, and effectively deploying innovative initiatives or solutions that achieve the desired results required.
+ Solid background in project and change management with superb interpersonal skills that demonstrate success in managing through influence as well as solid-line reporting relationships required.
+ Proven expertise in creating and integrating innovation initiatives within a dynamic work environment that unify and align local, regional and corporate strategies while delivering value-added operations or increasing revenues required.
+ Solid background in educating and coaching diverse, cross-functional staffs through the innovation process/life cycle using successful program management and excellent communications skillsa teacher and a mentor required.
+ Previous experience employing Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to drive innovation is a plusSutter Health uses Six Sigma as our management system required.
+ Functional experience with social listening platforms and research tools such as required.
+ Although not required, we would value a balance of non-healthcare and previous experience in a large, multi-specialty provider group and/or health system preferred.

+ Demonstrated understanding of the methodologies and techniques for cultural and trend analysis, including a working knowledge of primary research methods (qualitative and quantitative) and ROI analysis
+ Excellent comprehension of the challenges, trends and opportunities in the health care industry, as well as a working knowledge of regulatory agency standards and compliance issues, and laws applicable to health care operations
+ Highly developed comprehension of the interaction and balance between business levers and people impacts in large scale change management projects, as well as a working understanding of the related technology requirements
+ Solid understanding of defining, developing and tracking key metrics to drive improvements that positively impact an organization
+ Working knowledge of healthcare operations and delivery, industry trends, regulatory changes, disruptive technology, medical advances and emerging consumer behavior
