**Description:** Lockheed Martin is seeking a cybersecurity trail blazer to tackle the next generation of business. This position is for a Cyber Research Scientist and Project Manager to research and develop cybersecurity capabilities through leading current and capturing new Contract Research and Development (CRAD) projects within commercial and government markets. The ideal candidate is an emerging cyber technology subject matter expert with an entrepreneurial streak who is capable of engaging existing LM customers as well as new customers not currently served by Lockheed Martin.
Daily activities include: execution of government and commercial cyber programs, authoring proposals, writing technical white papers, leading cyber teams, contacting customers (meetings, calls, emails, etc.), as well as planning, capturing, and executing advanced R&D. The successful candidate will work effectively throughout the Lockheed Martin organization, both vertically and horizontally, and will develop effective working customer relationships with all customers. In this role you will demonstrate a strong ability to work across organizational boundaries and jurisdictions; leading customer meetings and cross-discipline teams in the development of customer cyber solutions.

Demonstrated cyber skills and experience on research and development projects
Strategic thinking understands the big picture analysis both from the cyber technological and business case perspectives
Excellent verbal and written skills necessary to clearly articulate technology development and market entry strategies to both internal and external organizations
Team player Effective at organizing and motivating a diverse set of individuals to act as one in the pursuit of common objectives
Builds effective customer and partner relationships
Ability to travel a minimum of 25%
Demonstrated skills in identifying customer requirements, working with customers & partners to shape requirements, developing new business strategies & execution plans, and a proven record or growing/winning business
US citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance
Government Contract Research and Development (CRAD) experience
Capable to see and understand emerging cyber markets and technology trends
Specific cyber technical experience
R&D project leadership experience
Cyber capture/proposal experience
Proven and current knowledge of cyber DoD S&T (Science and Technologies) environment and acquisition process
Requisite skills of sizing campaign resources required and campaign schedules
Prefer experience developing opportunities from early concept/trend identification through qualification, deciding to bid, through proposal development and submittal, and management of early phases of new R&D programs
Active secret clearance or higher
